Being in the moment can really help us to connect with ourselves and our loved ones. It can also lift our mood.
When we’re truly in the present moment, we are not ruminating on something that happened in the past that we can’t change. Nor are we worrying about a future that we cannot control. We are living in the moment and really participating in our lives.
Today, I’m going to focus on being in the present moment as we head off to see Santa. I’m so excited! For Rhys… Obviously…
I’m going to make a conscious effort to focus on what we are doing as a family and really lean into that experience. Rather than thinking about the shopping list, things I need to do next week or what happened last week. I feel this is extra important as my wee one seems to be growing and changing so much.
I challenge you to lean into the present moment today – even if it’s for a short period of time. Notice how living in the moment makes you feel.
And be kind to yourself if that feels challenging. It can take time and practice for being in the moment to feel easy. Especially if you are like me and spend a lot of time in your head.
